graphic design- branding

If you wish to increase sales, G3 Creative can help make your marketing message visually stimulating -
It's good design that makes all the difference

In business, good design isn't a luxury. It's an absolute necessity whatever business you're in, the right company image is vital if your business is to develop, grow and reach its full potential. According to the Design Council in Britain almost 50% of all businesses are heading for long-term decline by failing to invest in professional graphic design.

A company logo is usually the first thing a potential customer sees and identifies with. In a very crowded market place, it is vital to give customers a strong reason to choose your brand over the competition.

At G3 Creative we design and create superior quality corporate identities and branding which will not only raise the visibility of your company and add a professional look to your business, but will also make it stand out ahead of the competition. Our aim is to help businesses of all sizes get their message across with professional, high-quality, cost-effective, creative graphic design.

The G3 Creative team believe that good graphic design is not mere decoration, but a means of achieving a predetermined purpose. It can influence the way people behave, encourage understanding, change the way they perceive your business, your products and services. That's why we will go right back to the drawing board to make sure that all our graphic design makes a difference to your business.

We also feel colour plays a big part in brand recognition but should not be an integral component to the logo design, which would conflict with its functionality, for instance certain colours can convey different emotions and that’s why colour is very useful for linking certain types of products with a brand e.g. warm colors like red, orange, yellow are linked to hot food and so can be seen in many fast food logos.

Here's a few more samples of colours associated with certain emotions:

BLUE - Peace > Trust > Loyalty > Wisdom > Tranquility > Integrity
RED - Love > Passion > Energy > Revolution > Power > Danger
YELLOW - Energy > Happiness > Creativity > Cheery
GREEN - Money > Growth > Environmentally Friendly > Fertility > Envy > Freshness

By understanding your competitors G3 Creative can develop a logo that will make you unique, retain existing customers and attract new business.

Whether you are a start-up business looking for a corporate identity, or an existing company needing a total re-brand, G3 Creative Scotland would love to hear from you.

So what makes a logo good?
Here are a few of the basic elements the G3 Creative designers use to create a successful logo / corporate identity such as the one we designed for Stirling District Tourism.

Keep it simple
Good logos are always simple. They incorporate just one typeface (two at the most) and/or mark. This simplicity makes a quick statement about your company without unnecessary clutter.

Let it be scalable
Logos should be able to scale down small enough to fit on a business card as well as large enough to fit on a billboard. At G3 Creative we make sure your logo will scale without becoming illegible.

It must be versatile
A logo should look good in both black and white and colour. Logos are often used in black and white advertising where colour is not available. When colour is used, it should look good in both spot colour and four colour.

Let it be appropriate
Logos should use fonts and colours that appeal to their demographics. Your audience can often influence your colour choices; generally, men prefer blue while women prefer red (but not always).

It should be different
The best way to stand out from your competition is to be different. Don't ever copy the competition. Not only is it illegal, you'll stand a greater chance of getting noticed if your logo is different. While there are many common aspects of logos, there are plenty of ways to make them distinguishable through graphic elements, colours and fonts.

It must be memorable
The best way to be memorable is to make your logo speak truthfully about your company. It should evoke a feeling or provide insight into what your company does. By doing this it will become recognisable over time -Think Coca Cola.
